  • The Tree Board was established by City Ordinance and shall consist of at least three (3) and no more than ten (10) members.

  • Members shall be residents of the City at large but may include members from outside the City limits.

  • Meetings are to take place quarterly and this annual schedule of meetings is announced in January of each year.


Duties of the Tree Board include:

  1. To study, investigate, counsel and develop and/or update annually and administer a written plan and budget for the care, maintenance, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of both trees and shrubs in park, along streets and in other public places.

  2. When requested by the Board of Aldermen shall consider, investigate, make findings, report and work/responsibilities.

  3. Develop and maintain a list of desirable trees for planting along streets in three (3) size classes: small, medium and large. A list of trees that are not suitable for planting will also be created and maintained by the Board.
